Question: Do any of you know of a good online resource for learning/reviewing Math? Algebra and to a lesser extent Geometry, in particular. Placement testing and the final details of my registration at Wake Tech get taken care of on Monday, and given that my resources are finite, the more classes I can test out of, the better.
Classes start soon. The sound you hear is me whimpering in the corner. Going back to school after a decade away ranks right up there with getting on a Greyhound for a city I'd never seen with only one friend in it.

Date: 2005-08-11 12:39 am (UTC)2) It really won't be as scary as it seems at first.
3) Remember that you're an adult and you don't have to take a lot of the bull people like to try to hand to kids fresh out of high school.
4) Show up, do the work, and generally you're guaranteed a pretty good grade.
5) Have fun with it. :)
It's scary now, but once you settle in, you'll be glad you did. :)
That's the last of my unasked-for advice :)

Date: 2005-08-11 01:46 am (UTC)I left school at 16 and only went back last year... I was TERRIFIED!! But in the end I had an absolute ball and even managed to pass everything. I'm sure you will do fine.
Good Luck!!!

Date: 2005-08-11 04:45 am (UTC)I got by begging and using Algebra and Statistics for Dummies when I went back to school in 2002.
Good luck!
What Level?
Date: 2005-08-11 03:00 pm (UTC)http://library.thinkquest.org/20991/alg2/ lacks sophisticated typesetting, but has a solid overview of the basics of both high school algebra and geometry (this is the level you're looking for, right?).
And, of course, if you'd like to drop me an email we can arrange a few hours' meeting on IRC. I'd like to think I constitute a pretty good source for reviewing math. :^)
