I'm both amused and bemused by a community which allows debate on whether or not something "should" be worn by women of a different culture while simultaneously insisting that what "should" or "shouldn't" be worn by women in the Western culture is a non-issue.

What Muslim women wear, unless you are being forced to wear it yourself, is exactly as open to comment and judgement -- no more, and no less -- as what Western women wear. The entire post, then, is as worthy of a mod warning as the one comment that did garner that warning.

Oh, yes, yet another reminder as to why I will not touch that community with a 30-foot pole wrapped in the world's largest condom. I find the attitude there to be highly wrapped up in white upper middle-class privilege and a despicable lack of comprehension of history and how it is for people who can't afford to be their style of feminist.
