Tonight's menu:

salmon steaks, sauteed with onions, and a touch of thyme (lemon goes without saying.)
wild rice
mixed vegetables
a glass of white zinfandel.

this beats patrolling the hotel. ;)

WATER OF EARTH. Mommy! Well, you could be. You are good with plants and small creatures such as children. You're very generous and basically great hearted. You probably make mad whack cookies and are good at managing the household; also businesses. You'd make a good tax person, book keeper, gardener, massage therapist, etc. The ever domestic and practical one, you can stretch a penny and make ramen noodles go a long way.

Vertical Oracle: tell me what I need to know today. )
I think it's going to be an interesting sort of day. I had a couple of key issues in mind -- things I'm not comfortable leaving to fate or anyone else. Perhaps that's my trouble, though... it seems that whenever I hold on too tightly, insist on having complete control, that is the moment when I should be turning it loose -- and generally, I'm eventually forced to admit that, and to let go and keep letting go until things resolve themselves.

Afterthought: it seems right now that I'm especially prone to using the VO when I'm facing a split within myself -- trust, or wait? It works as a tiebreaker and clarifier of my own thoughts, I think, because no matter what advice it gives, deciding whether or not to take it means figuring out exactly where I stand and sometimes why I'm giving more weight to one argument than another. It's interesting, to me, that while I immediately discard its advice if it contradicts my gut feelings, I sometimes don't obey my gut feelings unless it corroborates them. As if they are too important to disregard just because it says so (what does it know, anyway?) -- but not too important to disregard if pure reason says they're misleading me... (I need to be told to rely on my instincts over my mind, if there's a conflict.) More thoughts on that later -- I'm not sure I truly like what this says about me.
