1. How you are feeling at this moment, what is on your mind and the nature of your question.
REBIRTH
after dormancy, a secret new life
Moon in Scorpio or/n the Eighth House

A cocoon is cracking. Something long thought dead, gone or nonexistent is about to emerge and surprise you (and maybe others, too). The butterfly shown here is still attached to its chrysalis yet will soon outgrow its function; it’s just a matter of time before butterfly flutters free. Yet something vital remains hidden; all the facts are not in. Nothing can be forced now without courting grave consequences. This delicate unfolding needs to evolve naturally, as its changes are not yet complete.

2. The factors influencing you and what is happening around you.
RESISTANCE
restricting the flow
Moon in Capricorn or in the Tenth House

When something doesn’t feet quite right, sometimes there’s good reason. Hesitation can be an intuition about external coercion or manipulation. A felt contraction might also express a kneejerk reflex for avoiding necessary growth and change. Whatever the cause, this image represents a tangible limitation ready to be faced. Rusty iron chains (in the foreground) almost obliterate the view of the waves. Are you losing perspective from clinging onto obsolete images or false assumptions? If so, it may be restricting your mobility. To induce flow, stop resisting the resistance; blend with it. For whatever reason, resistance is only energy trapped in a frozen, or fixed, state.

3. The direction you need to take to resolve any problems before you.
ADVENTURE
testing your wits
Mercury in Sagittarius or in the Ninth House

Welcome to the horizontal feeding frenzy of the urban jungle. Many are the pathways crisscrossing the world at large and to some extent, all challenge your vertical integrity. The antique compass represents a need for updating your personal vision, or philosophy, to meet present-time challenges. The white tiger symbolizes a union between instinct and intellect. When your ideas can act in concert with gut instincts, your chances for physical and cultural survival are significantly increased, It’s risky depending on direct experience to guide you; it makes getting lost a big part of the adventure.

4. The Overview.
deliberate & unmitigated enthrallment
Sun in Leo or in the Fifth House

Welcome to Beginning, Intermediate & Advanced Fun where the most imaginative trouble wins. Beginning Fun is about getting high; rising above dismal cultural boredom in rebellious chaos and spontaneous mirth. Intermediate, or disciplined, Fun knows how to stay high by an act of aesthetic grace; Rimbaud’s poetics of delirium for the rearrangement of the senses. Advanced Fun renders the high contagious and subversive like Timothy Leary’s charismatic evolutionary agents of change. All three phases reflect various degrees in the absorption, integration and transmission of post-survival, creative energies.

I think it's going to be an interesting sort of day. I had a couple of key issues in mind -- things I'm not comfortable leaving to fate or anyone else. Perhaps that's my trouble, though... it seems that whenever I hold on too tightly, insist on having complete control, that is the moment when I should be turning it loose -- and generally, I'm eventually forced to admit that, and to let go and keep letting go until things resolve themselves.

Afterthought: it seems right now that I'm especially prone to using the VO when I'm facing a split within myself -- trust, or wait? It works as a tiebreaker and clarifier of my own thoughts, I think, because no matter what advice it gives, deciding whether or not to take it means figuring out exactly where I stand and sometimes why I'm giving more weight to one argument than another. It's interesting, to me, that while I immediately discard its advice if it contradicts my gut feelings, I sometimes don't obey my gut feelings unless it corroborates them. As if they are too important to disregard just because it says so (what does it know, anyway?) -- but not too important to disregard if pure reason says they're misleading me... (I need to be told to rely on my instincts over my mind, if there's a conflict.) More thoughts on that later -- I'm not sure I truly like what this says about me.
