My ears are ringing.

My feet and legs are aching and shaky from all the jumping around I did.

I had almost lost my voice by the time they did Mari Mac, and it somehow carried me through two encores -- I'm proud of myself.

I have an autographed copy of my ticket, I met Alan and Kris, and Kris got everyone but Sean, who was asleep, to sign the ticket as well. He stood around talking for a bit, as did Alan, and they were absolutely wonderful.

So, yeah... I had an incredible night. I will, no doubt, pay for the same on my way to NY tomorrow, but right now I can honestly say I do not care.

I went to see GBS in Stanley Park in the gorgeous Vancouver midsummer, at an outdoor venue. And I danced, and I shouted, and I sang. It was wonderful, it was exhilarating, and I'm so jealous!

I'm happy you had fun. They are so worth it.

And only now do you *truly* understand. Well, almost. We still need to find a way to drag all you 'merkins up here for a right-proper Great Big Picnic, assuming they revive the Picnics. GBS live is always amazing, but catching them outdoors is something else entirely.

So how was the new bassist? Did Kris cover that role, or did he stay behind the skins while someone else stepped in?

no, they had someone else covering that. Kris was only the drummer last night. :) And count me converted. All the way.
