kuangningSo... my day in a nutshell.
In a couple of days, I will know for sure if I have a car. The neighbour is selling his, an older-model Toyota Camry he's asking $2000 for, which runs beautifully.
My ticket for the GBS concert on the 5th is bought. The Lincoln Theatre is just around the corner from my jobsite, so I'm planning on asking if I can simply take a couple of hours off rather than the whole night. If not, I will take the whole night and they can get over it. ;)
Parenting classes also start on the 5th, which worried me at first, but hey, GBS doesn't get onstage until 10 and I'll be there long before that.
I am an intensely happy woman right now. My only fear is that with the new guy playing, whoever he is, their sound will be changed enough to annoy me. I hope not. It's unfair that I've missed so many concerts of theirs that by the time I get to see them for the first time, it's not the same group anymore. They're scheduled in Charlotte the night before and Atlanta the night after, too, so they probably won't be spending the night. That's also disappointing; the Sheraton is the only good hotel downtown, so guess where they would have stayed? ;)
