Wow. Thank you, everyone, for your good wishes and birthday greetings. It's been a mixed day, and you've certainly helped tip the scales heavily toward the good, so I'll forgive you for making me bawl like an infant while you were at it.

Carol, you amaze me... and that painting is incredible. Even more incredible is that you remembered that flight of fancy, and that it inspired... that. I'm awed. And sad, too... I haven't fully lived up to those words, haven't truly been that person, in awhile. Thank you for reminding me.

rare, katling, Lisa, Ken... I can't tell you how much your words meant to me. Ken, if I could have picked the one thing anyone could have said to me that was absolutely certain to reduce me to tears, well, you found it. I sincerely hope that one day, someone will be able to say truthfully of me that the world is better for my having been in it, that I've made some positive difference. But it's the kind of thing one doesn't usually hear about oneself, isn't it? ... so thank you. And thank you, all of you.

Thank you! I had put the 'swallowed by a galaxy' entry & comments in my memories because your response moved me profoundly. I felt that your words poured out of your heart. That this was
spontaneous & I lost sight of the gift you gave me but I never minimized the beauty & worth of your gift.

"I haven't fully lived up to those words, haven't truly been that person, in awhile." Cairsten we humans cannot always be true to ourselves, and we must remember to forgive ourselves, we must not look at these life detours as something other than what they are. This occurs because we are searchers, and searchers do get side tracked. It's not a felony, not even a misdemeanor ;) when we for whatever reasons, find ourselves derailed. I see this as being the result of a journey mishap. If you can, put some time aside light a few candles wrap your arms around you, hold & hug yourself, and allow yourself the same forgiveness which you extend to those who have let you down, have disappointed you. I have found that there are days when I must forgive myself often, and this does make a difference in how I treat myself, how I view myself.

Well I see I'm a bit long winded this morning, just so much that I want to share with you, and a few other friends.
