Is it okay to call in to work on account of Leonids? Or should I resign myself to hoping for a blackout of the downtown Raleigh area so I can skywatch before dawn when I should be running the audit? ;)

Hell, yes! Although you might want to make up an alibi...not everyone is Leonid-friendly.

I'm actually hoping they'll move the Leonids to dawn on Wednesday so I can see them. But I suspect the universe has other plans.

I think I will just have to be happy with taking turns with Shannon when the guests permit, actually. Dawn on Wednesday wouldn't help me. Here's hoping for you, though. :)

Heh. Nifty. I just plugged the Hubble Space Telescope picture website in my journal. I think they had pictures of the Leonids too.

Sadly I'm gonna be working all night, graveyard shift, with a rather mean-spirited older gentleman. I doubt we will take shifts to go watch the leonids...
I might be able to sit around for a bit with my GF on the far side off 11pm and watch them before I have to go to work .... So you aren't the only one missing them...
