Normal girls wake up early to do their hair or their make-up, to look out their clothes for the day or something of the sort.

I got up at 8 AM to CHMOD files for my new guestbook.

... now we know why I'm single.

And, your eve goes well, whilst tumbling about?

It grows cold here. As I walked my dog, I smelled wood-smoke for the first time this autumn. Soon, the geese will leave and this place will grow quiet save for the hissing of snow. I'll have plenty of time to practice somersaults :-) I'm going to ponder that tonight while sipping hot tea.

Mm, yes, it goes very well. Tomfoolery here and good news elsewhere that I should post soon, but I'm hugging it to myself still. Don't wait for the snow to turn somersaults, they're always nicest when you land in a huge pile of crackly leaves. :) Turn a few before too very long, and if you hear giggling but can't quite pinpoint the source, you'll know it's me. :)

Hmm, I'm too new a friend to hear first news. So, I'll have to wait. In the meantime, I'll go out to listen for voices in the leaves...

Just for that, you get to hear it first. I'm taking a writing course, and I got my first assignment back from my mentor/editor today, with the only editing done being to form. She left the content untouched and the only criticism was that she wanted more details. And those had been in the original draft, but I was trying to keep it to word count, so I trimmed it greatly. It was something very personal to me -- in fact, the first time I wrote about it was in this journal. Sending it terrified me, and getting it back almost untouched feels like vindication. :)
