Nice to see that life goes on.

It does, you know. You take a breath, let it out... and draw another in, not consciously. You put one foot forward, shift your weight, and bring the other ahead without thinking about it. You shed -- skin cells, hair, sweat, tears, wastes -- and new ones take their place, without you noticing. In the space between realisations, in the brush of one hand against another, life happens. Growth happens. And eventually you look back and the footsteps you took are invisible, but the distance you've travelled isn't. But you only have those moments, thinking about where you've come and where you're going, at the cost of a little of that flow. Realisation is an interruption of the seamlessness of the process. A necessary one, a glad one, but still an interruption... I'm glad so much of it is unconscious. After all, if we're always conscious of the travel, where would be the joy in noticing the progress?

So, yeah... nice to see that life goes on.

I find myself enjoying the journey for itself at the moment. I've been spending so much time thinking about the destinations that I forgot to enjoy the path, and now I am much happier.
