Hegira

I try (not always succeeding, but I try) not to ascribe to malice what could be explained by stupidity, knowing that even the best people (and I don't count myself among those) are so very prone to stupidity. Rampant, raging, repeated stupidity. Looking back at myself even five years ago, some of the stuff I spouted makes the me-of-today cringe. I think more than a few people in all of this will likely have their own brushes with that.
