it's begun...

Good morning, LiveJournal world. And thank you, tequilasunset, i, violetvixen, pounce, ladydaisy, ellobahn, and anyone I accidentally missed. I have the best friends anyone could ask for. *smile.*

I'm not going to be around very long today; I have promises to myself to keep, or at least make a very good start on. The first of those small debts gets paid today, and then I am going to take a very wonderful friend out to lunch. That's my birthday present to myself. We had snow overnight, but the sun is shining and the skies are clear in the Glass City, and the snow on the ground is gleaming so white that it seems a crime to step on it.

Here's what I want from each one of you today. Go do something you've been wanting to do but put off for whatever reason. Something purely for pleasure and just for yourself, and then tell me about it, whether by email or in a comment or in your own journal. Be happy for fifteen minutes, thirty minutes, whatever... and I'll be completely thrilled to know you were, especially 'cause it was my suggestion. Nefarious happiness-causing is a lifestyle choice.

I'll tell all about my own day later... but that means I have to go live it. Love and light, all of you.
