Mistakes are going to be made, and reported on, if for no other reason than for the humor value.
That doesn't mean that the airlines arn't trying, although the book thing was COMPLETLY rediculious (and should result in a lawsuit, prefect example of where they should be used).
I don't think the airlines sucked any more than any other large institution before the attack. No, they haven't gotten much better, but they haven't gotten any worse either.
I don't remember making a judgement on better or worse.. as far as I'm concerned, they just generally suck. Did before and do now.. and, yes, I realise they're trying. But the results amused and horrified me.. and I'm considering to OH. Not because I'm afraid of terrorist attacks.. but because I'm a little concerned about the airlines are gonna be like till they regain their equilibrium again.
Then again, the best way to help them do that is to spend the money on the ticket... m'eh. We'll see.
methinx plane travel is really lame when it isn't overseas.. it's not needed.. they should have high-speed trains..
and blimps/zeppelins would b much more efficient and far less dangerous anyways!! .. (g) .. (two blimps could collide and the worst that could happen is 'the passengers got jostled quite a bit') (it would even be funny to watch)
(i'm sure we could invent highspeed blimps.. the whole thing only gets more n more humorous..)
